Openpath Raises $7M in Funding

Openpath, a Los Angeles, CA-based workplace efficiency company that aims to bring smart security solutions to offices, raised $7m in funding.

The round was led by Alex Kazerani and James Segil, the founders of Openpath, with participation from Upfront Ventures, Sorenson Ventures, Bonfire Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital and Fika Ventures.

The company is using the funds to continue to expand operations.

Led by Kazerani, CEO, and Segil, President, Openpath provides Openpath Access, which enables employees to enter the office using their smartphones. Openpath Access is cloud-based, integrates with platforms like G Suite and Office 365, and features patented SurePath Mobile technology, which ensures reliability and quick entry via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and LTE, while encryption shields against cloning, sniffing and key copying.
