eLichens, a Grenoble, France-based designer of patented gas sensors and an air quality analysis and prediction platform, raised €7M in funding.
Backers included current shareholders Demeter, Sofimac Innovation, Business Angels networks (members of France Angels) and Aereco, and new investors Fonds Ville de Demain managed by Bpifrance as part of the Future Investment Program and BNP Paribas Développement.
The company intends to use the funds to grow in France and internationally.
Created in December 2014 and led by Wahid Issa, CEO, eLichens leverages a portfolio of patents, know-how and skills to develop and market complete sensor/data/services solutions that perform intelligent indoor and outdoor air quality analysis for clients in the industrial, smart city and consumer markets.
Applications include urban gas leak detection and analysis and residential and building energy efficiency.
