DeepCode Raises CHF1.1M in Seed Funding

DeepCode, a Zurich, Switzerland-based expert in program analysis and machine learning/artificial intelligence (AI) for software programming, raised CHF1.1M in seed financing.

The round was led by btov Partners with participation from angel investors Thomas Hofman, an ETH professor and entrepreneur, and Joachim Schoss, founder of Scout24.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the team, the platform and offerings, and to conduct further research in adjacent fields.

Founded in 2016 as a Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) spin-off and led by Boris Paskalev, CEO, DeepCode developed an intelligent platform that analyzes software code. The first service DeepCode has launched is a code review tool for companies and individual developers based on machine learning and different programming languages.
As early as April, the company publicly launched its Beta service, integrated into GitHub with a free offer for all open source repositories and a small fee, after a free trial, for private repositories.
