Parsley Health Raises $10m in Funding

Parsley Health, a NYC-based medical care company, raised $10m in funding.

The round was led by FirstMark Capital, with participation from Dr. Mark Hyman, director of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, Amplo, Trail Mix Ventures, Combine and The Chernin Group.

The company intends to use the funds to support new hires, further build out its virtual and digital offerings and construct clinics.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Robin Berzin MD, a Columbia-trained physician, digital health expert, and leader in functional medicine, Parsley Health provides a healthcare service that integrates technology, nutrition, wellness and prevention into primary care.
The company’s board-certified doctors – based in clinics in SF, LA and NYC – are trained at top institutions including Columbia Medical School, Mount Sinai Hospital, UCLA and Weill Cornell, with certifications in internal medicine and family medicine. After joining Parsley, doctors embark on an additional clinical fellowship that includes training in evaluating thousands of biomarkers to diagnose and treat disease at its origin.

Advanced biomarker tests are prescribed based on patient symptoms, based on evaluating inflammation, food allergies and hormone function to microbiome analysis and genetic screening.
Parsley membership is priced at $150 per month.

Clinics are currently open in Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco.
