SiteLock, an Arizona-based provider of website security solutions, was acquired by private equity firm ABRY Partners.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed. In the deal, UnitedWeb Inc. sold its stake in the company.
Founded in 2008 and led by Chief Executive Officer Neill Feather, SiteLock provides cloud-based, comprehensive website security solutions to protect organizations from cyber security threats. Its monitoring tool finds and fixes threats, prevents future attacks, accelerates website performance and meets PCI compliance standards for businesses of all sizes.
The company, which protects over 12 million websites worldwide, now plans to continue to innovate products and solutions both organically and inorganically.
