TickX, a Manchester, UK-based search engine and discovery platform for events & attractions tickets, raised £3m in Series A funding.
The round was led by BGF Ventures, with participation from existing investors Ministry of Sound and 24Haymarket.
The company will use the funds to accelerate its growth into Europe in 2018, launch cinema tickets, expand the team, and invest in innovation.
Led by Steve Pearce, CEO, TickX, which is already live in the UK, Ireland and Spain, allows customers to find and buy tickets for over 125,000 events and attractions from all the major ticket-selling platforms, including Ticketmaster, Headout and Skiddle, in a single place.
The company has a team of 35 with over 1 million users.
