Sitedesk, a Cheadle Hulme, UK-based local construction software business, secured an equity funding of undisclosed amount.
Greater Manchester Combined Authority has taken a 10% stake in Sitedesk.
The company intends to use the funds for business growth.
Led by Michael McCullen, Chairman, Sitedesk is the creator of a cloud-based solution for the built environment, which provides collaborative SaaS software delivering 3D visualisation and management of digital building information. The software helps building and project owners, construction contractors and sub-contractors to manage digital building information effectively, reducing the cost, time and risks of construction projects at the same time as enabling collaboration, increasing control and supporting compliance.
Users can import, manage and interact with digital construction data and documentation, and link them to 3D models. They can then navigate and search rich 3D displays, attach and organize project documents, data sheets and specifications, images and videos, plus create digital forms and task assignments. At completion this enables handover of digital project information for ongoing operation and maintenance (O&M).
