RapidAPI Raises $9M in Series A Funding

RapidAPI, a San Francisco, CA-based online marketplace for developers to find, connect and manage APIs, raised $9m in series A funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from SV Angel, Green Bay Capital, and Nexmo CEO Tony Jamous.

The company intends to continue to develop its core API marketplace product and expand its reach among API providers and developers.

Founded in 2015 and led by CEO Iddo Gino, RapidAPI connects developers with public APIs and enables them to manage the connections from a single platform, as well as getting access to metrics. The company also offers a premium enterprise version for larger companies to manage API consumption, which includes on-premise installation and other features including security, auditing, etc.
RapidAPI currently has 27 employees in San Francisco, Tel Aviv and Kiev, 8,000 APIs, and around 500,000 users.
