Atom Tickets, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based social movie ticketing platform, closed an over $60m Series C round of funding.
The round was led by global asset management firm Fidelity Management & Research Company, with participation from Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), Disney and Twentieth Century Fox Film.
The company will use the funds to bring in new customers and brand partners and continue to expand its exhibitor footprint in the U.S.
Led by Matthew Bakal, Co-Founder and Chairman, Atom Tickets provides a social movie ticketing app which allows consumers to search for films instantly, invite friends, buy tickets, pre-order concessions and more. Enabled on nearly 20,000 screens across the U.S., the platform’s marketing capabilities enable studios, exhibitors and brands to maximize revenue opportunities.
