Overtime Raises $9.5m in Series A Funding

Overtime, a NYC-based sports media startup, raised $9.5m in Series A funding.

The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and partner Jeff Jordan with participation from Greycroft, Afore Capital, Fitz Gate Ventures, 645 Ventures, Jordan Levy, Barrier Island Capital and TACK Ventures as well as new investors Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman, Box Group, Imagination Capital, Geoff Yang, and Michael Spirito.

The company intends to use the funds to continue growing both content and distribution.

Led by CEO Dan Porter, Overtime is a sports network for the next generation of fans, which uses tech, new platforms, and new formats to drive 20 million minutes of watch time each month and distribute videos across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Overtime, and on TV.
