BruVue Raises $1M in Seed Funding

BruVue, a Raleigh, N.C.-based beverage data company, closed $1m seed funding.

The company intends to use the funds to extend the reach of its system to global connectivity in 2018.

Founded in 2016 and led by Christopher Lorkowski, CEO, and Michael Mitchell, vice president of sales, BruVue provides a beverage inventory system where sensors, which can be ordered online, received in the mail, dropped on beer faucets, and set up on a smartphone, accurately tracks keg levels pour by pour in real time.
This enables distributors to see their product inventory and movement at bars in real time from their smartphones.

The company also announced that it has won Heineken’s Innovators Brewhouse Challenge, in which Heineken searched the entire world for an IoT (internet of things) solution to give consumers more information about their SUB home draft system, including how much beer is remaining inside.
