Jyri Engeström and Caterina Fake have launched Yes VC, an early stage venture capital firm.
Yes VC, which has got some LPs already are is seeking a few more to raise up to $50m, will back startups at the pre-seed and seed stage.
The fund will invest in about 20–30 companies over the next several years and roll in previous investments in:
– Orchid, which is creating “a world where users own the internet”—decentralized, open-source,
– Spell, which builds infrastructure for AI and deep learning that used to be available only if you worked at a big company, and
– Gaze, which combines imaging and spatial sensing to enable autonomous vehicles.
Fake was a founding partner at Founder Collective while Engeström was EIR at True Ventures.
