Huaqin Telecom, a Shanghai, China – based global smartphone and tablet original design manufacturer (ODM), received US$136m (RMB870 million) in a Series A funding.
The round was co-led by Intel Capital and Hua Capital with participation from Tsinghua Sinoking Capital, SummitView Capital, Walden International, Northern Light Venture Capital and Wise Road Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to develop its notebook computer and data center businesses, accelerate manufacturing automation and enhance vertical industry integration to bring added value to customers.
Led by President Vincent Qiu, Huaqin Telecom is an original design manufacturer whose global business spans from smartphones and tablets to notebook computers, servers and the Internet of Things.
