Birch Finance, a San Jose, CA-based credit card rewards startup, raised a $1m seed funding round.
Backers included AGP Miami, Kevin Johnson, the former CEO of Ebates and Frank Azor, founder of Alienware.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its user base and increase its opportunities for monetization.
Co-founded by Alex Whiteside and Alexander Cohen, Birch Finance provides people with an app to earn more rewards by using the right cards in their wallet on the right purchases and recommends new cards that will earn best with their spending habits.
Birch currently integrates with more than 9,000 banks and 175 credit cards.
