Asana Raises $75M in Series D Funding

Asana, a productivity and collaboration platform provider, raised $75m in Series D funding.

The round was led by Generation Investment Management, with participation from existing investors 8VC, Founders Fund, Y Combinator President Sam Altman and Asana co-founder and CEO Dustin Moskovitz. In conjunction with the funding, Colin le Duc, a co-founder and partner at Generation, will join Asana’s board.

The company, which has now raised $168 in total funding, intends to use the capital to continue to expand its operations and business reach globally.

Co-founded in 2008 by Dustin Moskovitz and Justin Rosenstein, Asana provides a web and mobile application that allows teams to track their work and projects. The company has a team of over 200 people across offices in SF, NYC, and Dublin, has more than 30,000 paying customers.
