Vital Proteins Secures $19M in Funding

Vital Proteins, a Chicago, IL-based wellness innovator of collagen-boosting nutrition, received a $19m in funding.

The investment was made by Cavu Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, CAVU representatives Brett Thomas and Bader Alam will join the company’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to expand nationwide and bring additional products to market.

Led by Kurt Seidensticker, CEO and founder, Vital Proteins offers collagen nutrition based powder blends, bone broths, elixirs, and capsules made of all-natural sources of essential proteins and nutrients made with clean-label ingredients. The four-year-old brand has grown its retail presence into over 8,000 retail stores. Key retail partners include Whole Foods, Sprouts, Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market, Erehwon, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Neiman Marcus.
