Satellite Imaging and Intelligence Startup Bird.i Raises $2.6M in Funding

Bird.i, a London and Glasgow, UK-based startup which collates and disseminates satellite, airborne and drone imagery in real-time to provide insights and data to global businesses, closed a $2.6m funding.

Backers included Accelerated Digital Ventures (ADV), Concrete VC, Frontline Ventures, Satellite Application Catapult Services and Scottish Investment Bank.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its product portfolio and continue to expand globally.

Led by Corentin Guillo, Bird.i applies proprietary artificial intelligence and computer vision techniques to provid satellite, airborne and drone imagery services to give businesses a real-time view of the world to monitor changes and trends on the ground, to solve problems, to answer a range of business needs and questions, to make strategic decisions and finally gain a competitive advantage.
Customers who currently use Bird.i include business intelligence and investment firms, infrastructure operators, urban planners and facility managers.
