Coconut Software Raises C$4.2m in Series A Financing

Coconut Software Corp., a Saskatoon, Canada-based appointment scheduling software provider, raised C$4.2m in Series A financing.

The round was led by Information Venture Partners with participation from ScaleUp Ventures, StandUp Ventures, PIC Investment Group and Bay Partners. As part of the investment, David Unsworth, General Partner and Co-Founder at Information Venture Partners will join the Board of Directors along with Kevin Kimsa of ScaleUp Ventures and Neal Dempsey of Bay Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to expand in Saskatoon and Toronto.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Katherine Regnier, Coconut provides large enterprises such as telco companies with retail store outlets with a technology solution to manage appointments and deliver service securely to customers letting them choose times that work best without telephone hold times.

Coconut is now used by many of the North America’s largest firms, such as Jackson Hewitt, London Drugs, Rogers, and TELUS.
