Magic Leap Raises $502M in Series D Funding

Magic Leap, a Plantation, Florida-based augmented reality content viewing device developer, raises $502M in Series D funding.

The round was led by Temasek with participation from EDBI, Grupo Globo, Janus Henderson Investors, Alibaba Group, Fidelity Management and Research Company, Google LLC, J.P. Morgan Investment Management, and T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc.

The post-money valuation is reportedly around $5 billion.

Led by Rony Abovitz, Founder, President and CEO, Magic Leap is a secretive “mixed reality” startup that aims “to harmonize people and technology, amplifying the best parts of you, to create a better, more unified world“.
The company also has locations in Los Angeles, Sunnyvale, Seattle, Austin, Dallas, Zurich, New Zealand, and Israel.
