Convargo, a Paris, France-based startup that provides a freight platform connecting shippers and companies, raised €16m in funding.
Backers included Inventure Partners, Earlybird, Tony Fadell, Roger Crook, and other angels.
The company intends to use the capital for product development, new collaborations with manufacturing and distribution firms, expansion into more markets.
Led by Maxime Legardez, CEO, Convargo provides an online freight platform connecting shippers and carriers in real time. For every kind of freight need, the solution enables senders to find carriers who will make their next delivery, get notified of the status of the shipment instantly, pay without intermediary, and access all shipments, shipping documents and invoices, and carriers to join the community, make their available capacity profitable, geolocate their entire fleet, receive payment within 30 days, with paperless delivery note, automatic billing and 24/7 assistance.
According to the company, the platform is now used by more than 3,000 shippers and 2,000 carriers.
