ChowNow, a Los Angeles, CA-based online ordering and marketing platform for restaurants, raised $20m in Series B funding.
The round, which brings total investment to $40m, was led by growth equity firm Catalyst Investors and includes prior investment from Upfront Ventures. With the funding, Catalyst partner Tyler Newton joined ChowNow’s Board of Directors.
The company will use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.
Founded in 2011 by CEO Chris Webb., ChowNow provides an online ordering and marketing platform that enables diners to discover new restaurants nearby and order directly from their websites, Facebook pages, and custom-built iPhone and Android apps and restaurants to grow their takeout businesses, strengthen customer relationships, and compete with national chains.
The company recently surpassed 8,000 restaurant clients.
