Bigstream Solutions, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based provider of hyper-acceleration of Big Data platforms, closed its Series A funding round.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
Backers included Cota Capital, Oriza Ventures, and Intel Capital.
Led by Maysam Lavasani, Co-founder and CEO, Bigstream Solutions provides hyper-acceleration of Big Data platforms like Spark, Kafka and TensorFlow with multi-core CPUs, FPGAs and GPUs, without requiring application code changes, special APIs, or FPGA expertise
Hyper-acceleration is an important enabler for latency-sensitive workloads such as security analytics, IoT, financial risk analysis, and fraud detection.
In addition to the investment, Bigstream and Intel will collaborate on sales and marketing initiatives targeting key industries such as Financial Services, AdTech, and Public Sector.
