Airtaskers Raises $33M in Funding

Airtaskers, a Sydney, Australia-based community marketplace for people to outsource tasks, find local services or complete flexible jobs to earn money, raised $33m in funding.

Backers included Seven West Media, Skyfield Capital, Exto Partners, Morning Crest Capital and Black Sheep Capital.

The company will use the funds to expand operations and launch in London.

Led by Tim Fung, Co-founder and CEO, Airtaskers provides a service where people can outsource their tasks and errands to reliable people who can complete them. There are a range of tasks available from tasks around the home like deliveries, cleaning, gardening and handyman work to tasks for businesses like office admin, promotional work or computer & IT support. There also a range of creative tasks like photography, graphic design and website & blog support which can help people earn money online.
The company currently has 120 full-time employees with a huge range of skills spread across the company in engineering, product, design, marketing, partnerships, admin, human resources and support.
