Drift Raises $32M in Series B Financing

Drift, a Boston, MA-based provider of a conversation-driven marketing and sales platform, raised $32M in Series B funding.

The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from CRV and HubSpot and Sequoia Capital.

The company, which has raised $47m in total financing, intends to use the capital to expand into marketing automation and sales acceleration, open a new office in San Francisco, and add over 100 new employees in the next 12 months.

Led by David Cancel, founder and CEO, Drift is a conversation-driven marketing and sales platform that connects businesses with the best website visitors in real-time using bots and artificial intelligence. Customers use the platform to provide an improved buying experience for potential customers, generate more qualified leads, and accelerate the sales cycle. Since going to market in April 2016, over 50,000 businesses have used Drift.
