Abris Capital Partners Closes Third Cee Mid-Market Fund, at €500M

Abris Capital Partners, a Warsaw, Poland-based private equity fund manager investing in Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), closed its third Cee Mid-Market fund, at €500m.

International investors including university endowment funds, pension funds, insurance companies and private asset managers have supported the firm which will invest the new fund in medium-sized, private businesses mainly in Poland and Romania, but also elsewhere in CEE.

Led by Managing Partners and Co-founders Neil Milne and George Swirski, and CIO Paweł Gieryński, Abris Capital Partners tipically invests from €30 to €75m, usually with the acquisition of a majority shareholding in each company.

Since its inception in 2007, the firm has secured cumulative commitments of nearly €1.3 billion from investors, all targeted at mid-market opportunities in CEE. Since then, Abris funds have made more than 20 investments in CEE including Siódemka, Novago, Masterlease and Alumetal, the latter two being listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Other businesses remaining under Abris ownership include UrgentCargus in Romania, and GetBack, Graal and CARGOUNIT in Poland.
