Private equity firm Thoma Bravo is to acquire Frontline Education, a Malvern, Pennsylvania-based provider of administrative and HR software solutions for educational organizations.
The financial terms of the deal – expected to close late in the third quarter of this year – were not disclosed. As a result of it, Insight Venture Partners will retain a minority stake in Frontline.
Led by Tim Clifford, President and Chief Executive Officer, Frontline Education provides administrative and HR software solutions serving more than American 12,000 educational organizations with more than 5 million education employees and 1.2 million substitutes logging into its systems on a daily basis.
In the past three years, the company has expanded its solutions-based portfolio through organic growth and 10 strategic acquisitions. Today, it has approximately 650 employees Malvern, Andover, MA, Rockville Centre, NY, Salt Lake City, UT and Chicago, IL.
