Pro.com Raises $10m in Funding

Pro.com, a Seattle, WA-based pricing engine for home projects, raised $10m in funding.

The round was led by DFJ with participation from existing backers Maveron, Madrona Venture Group and Two Sigma Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Bill Bryant of DFJ will join Pro.com’s board.

The company intends to use the funds to expand the reach of its home improvement services into 10+ cities across the US.

Led by CEO Matt Williams, who was most recently entrepreneur-in-residence at Andreessen Horowitz and CEO at Digg.com, Pro.com has built an end-to-end software platform to manage home improvement projects, including:
– a detailed quote, checked against thousands of similar projects,
– A project plan,
– progress updates, and
– workmanship thorugh expert staff of estimators and specialists.
