Modern Fertility Raises $1M in Funding

Modern Fertility, a San Francisco-based healthcare startup for women, raised $1m in funding.

The round was led by First Round Capital, with participation from Box Group, Y Combinator, and angel investors.

The company intends to use the funds to hire people in San Francisco.

Co-founded in 2017 by CEO Afton Vechery and Carly Leahy, Modern Fertility has developed a personalized fertility test for women to take home and ship it, once used, to CLIA-accredited labs. The physician-reviewed test results are available online after five to seven days through a personalized dashboard along with a fertility score.
Women can order a test for $149 at modernfertility.com
