ilos Videos, a St. Paul, Minn.-based provider of a video platform for the workplace, raised $1.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by Active Capital with participation from Ingram Content Group and Hyde Park Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Pat Matthews, founder and managing director of Active Capital, joined Ilos’ Board of Directors.
The company, which has raised $3m in total funding to date, intends to use the funds for vertical penetration, and expansion in the market of video communications.
Co-founded in 2015 by Nick Stokman and Sean Higgins, ilos provides an app for workplace video capture, screen recording, hosting, analytics, and closed captioning. The company now serves over 200 customers across North America, ranging UC Berkeley, Unitedhealth Group, General Electric, 3M, Informatica, Lessonly, and Workfront.
