Hotelchamp Raises Additional €2.25M in Seed Funding

Hotelchamp, an Amsterdam, The Netherlands-based smart technology service that enhances the relationship between guests and hotels to drive an increase in direct bookings, raised additional €2.25M in seed funding.

Backers included Nalden, Phillippe de Knijff, and Jolanda Degen, among others.

The company, which previously raised €1.75M in seed funding, intends to use the funds to advance its platform for the hotel industry, through the use of artificial intelligence.

Founded in 2015 by by Kasper Middelkoop and Kristian Valk, Hotelchamp provides a marketing and sales platform for hoteliers to drive more direct bookings on their websites. Focused on delivering a personalized booking experience, the company’s technology offers a platform for hotels to achieve better guest engagement and generate greater direct revenue.
Hotelchamp has signed over 1,000 major hotels from more than 40 countries, including Meininger Hotel Group, Palazzo Versace, The Mandeville and Apex Hotels. The company also has clients in the United States, Australia, Middle East and Asia, all served by a team of specialists with over 50 employees.
