HighBar Partners Closes Third Fund, at $208M

HighBar Partners, a Menlo Park, CA-based an investment firm focuses on enterprise and infrastructure software and software-as-a-service companies, closed its third fund, at $208m.

Backers in HighBar III included global institutions.

Led by John Kim, Managing Partner, HighBar Partners is a private investment firm focused on companies undergoing significant change or transition and provides patient, long-term capital to build successful businesses.
The transaction criteria include companies geographically located in North America, with meaningful revenue generation with stable, referenceable customers and cash flow visibility, fully developed core technology and products that solve critical business problems, majority or significant minority ownership necessary to implement needed transformation.

HighBar Partners III, L.P., exceeded the hard cap of $200m, has has made two investments, including:
– Virtual Instruments, an infrastructure performance management platform, and
– Janrain, a customer identity and access management solution.

This fundraise will allow the firm to target larger deals with new co-investment partners.
