CapMan to Set up Growth Equity Fund and Appoints Partner

CapMan, a Nordic investment and specialized asset management company, is to set up new growth equity fund and appointed Antti Kummu as Partner.

The new fund, which will focus on minority investments in unlisted companies, has a targeted size of approximately €80m with fundraising planned to be executed during 2017.

The new growth equity partner Antti Kummu has more than 10 years of experience from the private equity industry. He joins CapMan from Touhula Varhaiskasvatus Oy, where he acted as CFO. Prior to that, Kummu worked for Coronaria Hoitoketju Oy as Director. He was also a member of Finnish Industry Investments’ Management Group and responsible for direct investments in to later stage companies and direct industrial investments.

Led by Joakim Frimodig, Interim CEO, and Juha Mikkola, Growth Equity, Managing Partner, CapMan has a growth equity portfolio consisting of six unlisted Nordic companies. It today has 110 private equity professionals managing €2.3 billion in assets in investment strategies covering Buyout, Growth Equity, Real Estate, Russia, Credit, Infrastructure and Tactical Opportunities.
