Apli Raises $1.5M in Funding

Apli Inc., a Mexico City-based on-demand talent-as-a-service platform, raised $1.5M in funding.

Backers included Allvp, Social Capital, Soldiers Field Angels, Ignia Partners and accelerator Numa Mexico.

Co-founded in 2016 by Vera Makarov, Jose Maria Pertusa, Volker Mueller and Yeri Arenas, Apli leverages AI technologies such as chatbots and machine learning tools to improve recruiting processes via algorithms that match qualified personnel such as administrative assistants, salespeople, call center agents, product samplers, waiters and cooks that are eager to find jobs with companies that need to fill specific job openings with competent candidates in a very short time-span.
Apli, which promises to provide an eligible candidate in less than 24 hours, currently operates in Mexico City with plans to expand within Mexico and further into Latin America. It was accelerated in Numa Mexico, an European accelerator based in Paris.
