Zeelo Closes $450k Pre-Seed Funding

Zeelo, a London, UK-based coach travel startup, closed a $450k pre-seed funding.

Backers included InMotion Ventures, Liam Griffin and other angels. In conjunction with the funding, Zeelo will join Jaguar Land Rover’s mobility seed program.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the platform and expand across the country, and later into Europe.

Co-founded by Barney Williams and Sam Ryan, Zeelo aims to solve the problem of inconvenient, expensive travel between cities and to and from events like sports matches and festivals via a “pop-up” coach service which uses artificial intelligence to predict demand and identify routes.
Ryan and Williams previously founded JumpIn, a taxi sharing app which was bought by Addison Lee in 2014.
