Locum’s Nest, a UK-based platform which connects NHS hospitals with temporary healthcare professionals, secured £1.1m in funding.
The round was led by Albion Capital.
The investment will be used to expand the company’s nationally and add additional functionality to the service.
Developed by Dr Ahmed Shahrabani and Dr Nicholas Andreou, Locum’s Nest provides a mobile-first platform to manage staffing shortages and fill shifts by NHS trusts. The platform matches available doctors with hospital shifts to fill rota gaps to maximize the utilization of a hospital’s existing workforce by efficiently placing doctors in vacant shifts. It operates a “pay-as-you-go” structure.
