Framebridge Raises $16.7M in Series B Funding

Framebridge, a Washington D.C.-based platform for custom frames, raised $16.7m in Series B funding.

Backers included new investors Gordon Segal, co-founder of Crate and Barrel and Beth Kaplan, former President & COO of Rent the Runway, as well as existing investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Revolution Ventures, and SWaN & Legend Venture Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to acquire new customers and to continue to scale the business.

Led by Susan Tynan, Founder and CEO, Framebridge enables customers to place their order at framebridge.com or with the Framebridge iPhone app by selecting from a curated collection of stylish frames, upload their item on the website or app, or mail physical items using prepaid packaging from Framebridge. The company then handcrafts a custom frame within three days of receiving the piece and ships it to the customer, ready-to-hang.

Framebridge has production facilities in Lanham, MD and Richmond, KY.
