Autoliv to Make $15M Investment in Autotech Ventures

Autoliv, Inc. (NYSE: ALV and SSE: ALIVsdb), a global provider of automotive safety systems, will make a $15m investment in Autotech Ventures, a Palo Alto, California-based digital ground transport venture capital fund.

The investment aims to complement Autoliv’s own innovation strategy, particularly in the areas of active safety and autonomous driving.

Led by Managing Directors Alexei Andreev and Quin Garcia, Autotech Ventures is a specialized digital ground transport venture capital fund, particularly focused on software and services. It backs early & growth-stage startups enabling connected, autonomous, energy-efficient vehicles and services by making $0.5-5.0m initial investments and acting as lead or follow-on backer.

Its portfolio includes Lyft, Realine, Outdoorsy, Deepscale, Volta, and Deep Truck Solutions.
