August Home Secures $25M in Series C Funding

August Home, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of smart locks and smart home access products and services, raised $25m in Series C funding.

Backers included Bessemer Venture Partners, Comcast Ventures, Maveron, Qualcomm Ventures, AGL, Liberty Mutual and European private equity fund, SPDG.

The company, which has raised $75m in total funding, intends to use the capital to expand operations and extend its products and services, including Home Access Products and Home Access Services.

Led by Jason Johnson, CEO, August Home provides secure, smart access products and services that give consumers control over the front door from a smartphone. Its offering includes:
– Home Access Products, which deliver control over the front door, from anywhere, with a smartphone via the August Smart Lock, August Smart Keypad and August Doorbell Cam, and.
– Home Access Services, which enable integration of August products with smart home brands, services and platforms including Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, the Google Assistant, Nest, Honeywell Total Connect, Wink and Xfinity Home.
