A Cloud Guru Raises $7M in Series A Funding

A Cloud Guru, a London, UK-based on-demand cloud computing training platform provider, raised $7m in Series A funding.

Boston-based Elephant Venture Capital, led by Andy Hunt, co-founder of eyewear giant Warby Parker, and Jeremiah Daly, formerly of Accel Partners, made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its training catalog to encompass all major cloud vendors and related technologies in addition to its comprehensive catalog of Amazon Web Services training, introduce certification-prep courses for both Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure and expand training courses for Salesforce and Linux, grow the user base to one million students, and expand the US team.

Founded by brothers Ryan and Sam Kroonenburg in late 2015, A Cloud Guru provides a cloud computing training platform to over 250,000 students in 160 countries across 6 continents. In addition to producing cloud training content, the company has developed a serverless learning management system built natively for the cloud on top of AWS Lambda.
A Cloud Guru has staff in London, Melbourne, Washington and Austin and serves corporate customers such as international brands such as Expedia, Capital One and Xero.
