StorageOS Raises $2M in Seed Funding

StorageOS, a London, UK-based software startup providing application-centric and platform-agnostic storage for containers and cloud, raised $2m in seed funding.

The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures.

The company will use the capital to expand global product development, marketing and sales efforts for its storage software.

Led by Chris Brandon, CEO, StorageOS is a software-based distributed storage platform designed to provide persistent container storage. Available on commodity hardware, virtual machines or in the cloud, with the addition of a 40MB container, it allows developers to build scalable stateful containerized apps, with persistent storage.
Enterprise customers can scale, manage, and monitor storage infrastructure with configurable functionality and policy enforcement.
The StorageOS public beta is available at storageos.com.
