Julie Desk (formerly known as Wepopp), a Paris, France-based scheduling virtual assistant, raised €2.5m in funding.
Backers included Entrepreneur Venture, SaaS Lab and Side Capital.
The company intends to use the new funds to enhance Julie’s performance and accelerate commercial development, specifically in the anglo markets.
Led by Julien Hobieka, CEO, Guillaume Michiels, CPO, Nicolas Marlier, CTO, Julie Desk provides a scheduling assistant built on AI that helps people save time and gain productivity by scheduling all their appointments via email.
It works by enabling users to cc Julie in an email conversation and specify what they expect from her – eg. find the best time to meet, a specific request concerning the calendar, send her an email specifying a request.
Julie uses NLP (Natural Language Processing) and understands and speaks in English and French.
