Qordoba Raises $5M in Series A Funding

Qordoba, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a machine-learning solution for localization, raised $5M in Series A funding.

Backers included Upfront Ventures and Rincon Venture Partners. In conjunction with the funding, Kara Nortman, partner at Upfront Ventures, and Jim Andelman of Rincon will be taking board seats.

The company intends to use the funds to further invest in its machine learning technology and its ecosystem of developer tools.

Led by May Habib, CEO and co-founder, Qordoba provides a SaaS technology platform that allows users and machines to interact with and extract intention from natural language and data.
Customers including e-commerce companies like Sephora and Cartier and software companies like Nutanix and Netskope are using Qordoba to create localized experiences for global users across their software, websites and marketing content.
