PubGuard, a London, UK-based adtech startup, received an investment from Mercia Fund Management.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to continue growing its client base while expanding into the US.
Founded in 2015 by CEO Justin Wenczka, PubGuard provides global digital publishers with a digital ad verification and malware detection tool to improve desktop, mobile Web and in-app ad quality and user experience. The platform guards content by scanning ads and highlighting any potential threats in a non intrusive way in order to protect digital brands 24/7.
It can identify ads which contain malware, when ads do not render properly or are inappropriate for the ad unit, as well as any competitor messaging or imagery, stop them from alienating audience, ensure that ads reflect their landing pages, flag any nudity or inappropriate content, protect customers and any exclusivity deals in place have.
