OpenGov Raises $30M in Funding

OpenGov, a Redwood City, CA-based provider of a government performance management technology platform, raised $30m in Series C financing.

The round was led by the Emerson Collective, the social impact organization established by Laurene Powell Jobs.

The company, which has raised more than $75m in total funding to date, will use the funds to accelerate growth through investments across engineering, sales, and marketing.

Founded in 2012 by CEO Zac Bookman, OpenGov provides a government performance management platform, with cloud software (OpenGov Smart Government Cloud™) featuring budgeting solution, an operational intelligence and reporting solution, and open data solutions.
Over 1,500 public agencies in 48 states are part of the growing OpenGov network.
Customers include the State Treasurer of Ohio, the city of Minneapolis, MN; Maricopa County, AZ; and Washington, DC.
