Gainsight Closes $52M Series E Funding Round

Gainsight, a Redwood City, CA-based customer success company, closed a $52m Series E funding round.

The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from existing investors Battery Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Salesforce Ventures and Insight Venture Partners, and Cisco Investments. As part of the investment, Rowan Trollope, SVP & GM, Internet of Things (IoT) and Applications Division at Cisco will become an observer to Gainsight’s board of directors.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the expansion of its solutions into new global markets, industries and channels.

Led by Nick Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Allison Pickens, Chief Customer Officer, Igor Beckerman, Chief Financial Officer, Jason Stewart, Chief Revenue Officer, Ryan Toben, Vice President of Revenue Operations, and Mike Berger, Vice President of Product Marketing, Gainsight provides a customer success platform for businesses to get a complete view of customers and drive retention across Customer Success, sales, marketing, executive and product management.
The company currently serves such companies as Adobe, Box, DocuSign, HPE, Marketo, Workday, ABC Financial, Resmed Brightree, Gigamon, MCG Health, naviHealth and VMware, among others.
Gainsight now counts over 430 employees across seven global offices.
