Donut Media Raises $800k in Seed Funding

Donut Media, a Los Angeles, CA-based digital media company for car enthusiasts, raised $800k in seed funding.

Backers included Techstars Ventures, 3311 Ventures, Fontinalis Partners and professional driver Ryan Tuerck.

The company intends to use the funds to scale its content production, and create Donut Originals, a new initiative that will create millennial-focused automotive content for TV and premium streaming services.

Founded in 2015 by Matthew Levin, CEO, Donut Media has built a data-backed process for creating shareable automotive video content for car fans, for such clients as Nissan, Ford, Fiat, and Microsoft.
In 2016, the company has participated in the Ford-sponsored Techstars Mobility accelerator program.
