Atavium Closes $8.65M Series A Funding

Atavium, Inc., a Minneapolis, MN-based data management platform for organizations to mine, categorize, and maximize the value of their data, closed an $8.65M Series A funding.

The round was led by Rally Ventures and Grotech Ventures, with participation from Origin Ventures, Correlation Ventures, Brightstone Venture Capital and G-Bar Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to build its engineering team and bring the product to market.

Led by Ed Fiore, CEO, Mark Bakke, COO, Mike Klemm, CTO, and Marc Olin, Chief Architect, Atavium provides a data management system that enables companies to organize, automate, manage, and store exploding unstructured data sets, regardless if they are in a data center or the cloud, automating the lifecycle even before data is created.
