VideoKen Raises $1M in Funding

VideoKen, Inc., a Princeton, New Jersey- and Bengaluru, India-based provider of an artificial intelligence powered video learning platform, raised $1m (approx. Rs 6.4 crore) in funding.

Backers included Ravi Garikipati, Surot Chatterjee, Ashish Agrawal, LG Chandrasekhar, Sashi Reddi, and others.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to develop the AI capabilities of the platform, and enhance sales and marketing efforts.

Co-founded by Manish Gupta, CEO and Ashish Vikram, CTO, VideoKen provides a knowledge social sharing and collaborative learning platform featuring video indexing, search and navigation, an AI based automatic table of content and phrase cloud generation, video search (based on automatically generated meta data) by looking inside the video, tools to curate videos, create personalized lists of video clips, and share them, create personalized annotations inside videos or lists, add questions, etc.
