Vestagen Holds First Closing of $10M Financing

Vestagen Protective Technologies, Inc., an Orlando, Fla.-based developer of advanced performance textile products and technologies, held the first close of a $10m financing.

Backers included existing investors Advent Life Sciences and HealthQuest Capital and new investor Northwell Ventures.

The company intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes and increased commercialization activities for its VESTEX® Active Barrier fabric scrubs, lab coats and patient garments.

Led by Bill Bold, Chief Executive Officer, Vestagen is a developer of advanced performance textile products and technologies. The company has developed VESTEX®, a new class of technology-based, active barrier protective fabrics combining antimicrobial, liquid repellent and breathability properties designed to minimize the risks associated with unanticipated fluid exposures during routine use as general purpose attire.

VESTEX uniforms are being adopted by such healthcare institutions as metro New York-based Northwell Heath and Jacksonville, FL-based Baptist Health System.
