Travel Startup Triptease Raises $9M in Series B Funding

Triptease, a London, UK-based SaaS travel startup, raised $9m in Series B funding.

The round was led by new investor BGF Ventures, with participation from existing investors Notion Capital and Episode 1 Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to further product development, to grow into Asia by opening a new office in Singapore, and double headcount in their current London and New York offices.

Co-founded by Charlie Osmond, Alasdair Snow, and Alexandra Zubko, Triptease provides hotels with a SaaS based data-driven software platform to increase online conversion rate for direct bookings by creating better experiences and relationships with guests. As travellers can compare prices in real time, the platform gives hotels tools to tune their prices, personalize messages to travellers and engage customers through recommendations.
The Triptease Direct Booking Platform integrates with a hotel’s current website and booking engine and tracks millions of consumer booking journeys across thousands of hotel websites.
The company is now working with over 17,000 hotels, including major groups and independent hoteliers across Europe, the US and Asia Pacific.
